Review on πŸ“Ά ASUS PCE-AC68: Dual-Band AC1900 PCIe WiFi Adapter with Heat Sink and Magnetic Antenna Base for Enhanced Coverage by Darin Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

PCE-AC68 is pretty cool

So I prefer hardline, but because of the cabling I went with Wi-Fi. I used to use an Asus USB-N53 (but it was junk) and was missing Windows 10 support. - Asus website for PCE-AC68. Setup was standard, I checked the CD and instructions that came with it, but then decided to check the Asus website directly for the latest drivers. I installed them, turned off the computer, plugged in the card, connected the antenna and boom. Did. Then I went to Google for some speed tests. The 2.4GHz channel performed much better on the PCE-AC68, the 5GHz channel performed about the same in terms of speed. but the connection was super reliable (I've attached a couple of screenshots from all tests) There are no noticeable connection drops or lags while game speed and download speed remain constant. The heatsink seems to help, while my USB adapter quickly started to drop in performance after a few videos or an hour of gaming. The material looks solid but the card has a slight flex, you can see that in my screenshots. . There's also a very bright blue LED on the back. The antenna cable is about a meter long (I didn't measure, this is a rough estimate). I'm only 40 feet from my router so I'm not sure how this will work over a longer distance. reliable connection,
