Review on Waterproof Kitchen and Bathtub Caulk - Adhesive Tub Caulking for Countertops by Ryan Brunson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A solid (if useful) fix for problem areas; A few months have passed and it sticks perfectly here

I understand others have had sticking issues, but I got lucky. It's not the most visually pleasing solution (let's say I wouldn't use it for kitchen sinks or countertop edges), blindingly white, but it solves the problem. I installed two spots - at the foot of my shower stall to close the gap between the stall and the vinyl floor (to prevent moisture from seeping under the floor) and under the front entry door (same problem with moisture getting under the vinyl , also a small gap under the door frame that had to be closed but is too wide for a round quarter). It's been a few months and both of my rigs are holding up well. I followed the instructions - carefully cleaned and heated. Adhesion to the surface can be reduced - I had vinyl in both cases (vinyl shower stall/floor and vinyl under door pad/vinyl floor). Appears to be quite water resistant. I would buy again.

Pros
  • The sealing tape is made of butyl rubber.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
