Looks good and fits my 04 Wrangler TJ Rubicon well. The matte black textured metal looks great and feels very strong, a much better and more durable finish than competing products from Smittybilt or Rough Ridge. My spare is a 33" tire with a heavy duty spare tire holder and I can still open the tailgate fully, I only had to shave about 1/4" of the plastic on the holder, no big deal but anything bigger than a 33 you can on encounter problems. Because the bottom is open, it gives the illusion that you don't need to unplug your taillights to install them. This is not true, you absolutely must turn off the light to install it as the light can only slide through the top, the bottom bar is too small to let the light through. (If they made the bottom plate a bit bigger, the installation would be a lot easier). You need to buy big/long hex bolts to fix the flashlight on the body after the protection is on. It would be nice if they were included. Also, my stripes seemed to be at a very slight angle and not straight, a banal detail and difficult to see at first glance, but I would still have preferred them to be perfect. To assemble you need to remove the rear part of the fender over the rear wheel, the connector on the driver's side is very easy to access and only takes a few minutes, the connector on the passenger's side takes significantly longer. It's much harder to get to and often gets stuck in an area you can barely see. I needed extra long pliers to fish it out. In summary, I still think they are one of the best taillight protectors for tj.
