Brilliant in concept, but they are poorly made. The angle bolts broke in half when installing into a newel post leaving the bolt in the post. The zipbolt nut simply won’t grab unless you have it at just the right angle, which is nearly impossible with a railing at an angle.It’s a great design and concept, but mine all broke and can’t be installed.After 45 minutes of struggling with it all, I replaced it with a 6” lag screw which took all of 30 seconds to install and made a great connection.Save yourself the trouble and just use a heavy duty lag screw from Spax.
