Let me start by saying I'm a pretty competent mechanic. The instructions for installing the mechanics for this lock are very simple, and the mechanism is thought out to the smallest detail. This work took no more than 30 minutes. As others have pointed out, the wiring instructions are almost illegible. Even watching some YouTube videos couldn't eliminate the confusion. On a headache free day when I have a few extra hours I'll play with it again and try to get it working. It looks like the company could add a pigtail connector to the trunk lock (which is easily accessible and abuts the tailgate), which would allow for a plug-and-play installation without having to disassemble the interior and look for multicolored wires too may or may not match the illustrations in the instructions. Luckily, manually locking/unlocking the buttons works just fine. If anyone found a good way to wire this into a Ridgeline RTL 2008 please let me know!
