Let me start by saying I'm a pretty competent mechanic. The instructions for installing the mechanics for this lock are very simple, and the mechanism is thought out to the smallest detail. Revain and manufacturer Pop & Lock felt this particular model did not fit the Honda Ridgeline so it has been reduced. I found that there is an error of about 3-4mm in the gap of the teeth of the lock. Without a mod it's impossible to remove the key and stay in the locked position. And it is not blocked by the actuator either. Made a small mod to make the link notch slightly longer by about 4mm. It wasn't pretty, but it worked. Now it closes with both the key and the drive.
