Review on πŸš— Enhance Performance and Control with Fabtech FTS2300K Coil-Over Adjustable Strut Kit for Toyota Tacoma by Major Genesis

A big improvement over the stock TRD

I have replaced my aging TRD Bilstein struts with these coilovers. I wanted Fabtech's upgraded and stronger Dirt Logic shocks but couldn't justify the price for what I use them for. I will say I was right. These kicks are amazing and 99.9% of the time I go through them they are more than enough (i.e. not jumping off a truck). The adjustable coilover setup allows me to get rid of the ride height kit shim I previously had on the truck. 1-3 inches of travel is more than enough for big tires without having to change gears. When I removed the stock rack and put them side by side, I noticed a few differences that made these coilovers the best upgrade. 1. The "Fabtech" shaft is much larger and stronger. I believe it matches the durability and feel. 2. The spring is much larger and has a progressive coil pattern that you can actually see. It feels better again. 3. Adjustable ground clearance. It's really pretty and as simple as turning the ring with the included wrench. 4. Replacing shock absorbers is easy and inexpensive. You just remove the ring and spring and put in a new shock for less than $100. 5. They look better than the ugly yellows. Subjective feedback, I know, but it's important. When you see a shock absorber on a truck, it has to look good. The price seems to be related to the spring and machined adjustable mount as the replacement shock is under $100. a good thing. They're fully repairable, but unless you really tune your truck all the time, it's not worth the hassle and downtime. I'm giving it 4 stars for now because I still have plenty of time and miles to put into the shocks. But at the moment they have significantly changed management.
