Good quality, closes well

This is a heavy fiberglass shade but is flexible and doesn't seem to break. It closes completely every time. I have a low ceiling and a taller screen, so I folded and pinned the bottom to keep it from dragging. Hook and loop adhesive is very strong and sticks securely to unpainted wood. It comes with a small plastic tool to press the strip in place so you don't pull your thumb off. I can still close my garage door with the gate, although my top door probably won't close tightly. Update: After a few years, velcro no longer sticks to unpainted wood. I used a construction stapler to secure it and it's fine now. The screen is still in perfect condition. I ended up trimming the excess off the bottom with scissors and then reattaching the weight so it still closes. Even in the third summer still 5 stars. The umbrella is supplied with a sewn-in Velcro fastener on one side. The instructions say to attach another Velcro strip to the screen, then remove the paper and stick the adhesive to the wall. I don't know why he's suggesting that. I started with this and quickly decided it would be easier if I first put a strip of cling film on the door and then attached the screen to it.
