A filter that needs to be replaced once a year instead of $40 filters that need to be replaced twice or even four times a year is a lot of money saver . Easy installation, simply turn off the water and cut the 1/4-inch polypropylene tubing common to the mounting kits. Place the water supply in the inlet end of the filter, place the outlet end over a bucket and spin until the water runs clear (instructions say 10 minutes but with my water flow it took about a minute). Be sure to check for leaks, but it's really hard to screw up.
