The Acer Predator X34 GS is an incredible ultra wide monitor. The brightness reaches 550 nits. It has 180Hz of storage if you don't notice the difference between 10bit and 8bit (for 10bit you're limited to 144Hz). Now there are other more expensive ultra-wides. There's also Samsung's new ultra-wide OLED. But the thing costs $1,400 after taxes. Hey, if you have that amount then put more energy into yourself. But if you want to stay under $1,000 per monitor, this is the place to go! Yes, there are cheaper alternatives to VA, but you lose the clarity you get with IPS. The IPS panel in the X34 GS is very sharp, bright and vibrant. Overall this is the best ultra wide monitor under $1000 and I'm surprised Hardware Unboxed (a great youtube resource for monitor reviews) hasn't reviewed this yet (it was only on Linus Tech Tips as a review and also on Youtube). .
