I installed this power window on my 2005 Acura TL. The stock regulator broke in the door. The Dorman unit seems to solve the OEM design problems, so I decided to give it a try for half the cost of the OEM unit. Installation was easy and everything went well. As far as I can tell the engine RPM and noise is the same as the OEM. The auto raise and auto lower feature didn't work for me at first. I emailed Dorman regarding this and they sent me a "retraining procedure" to follow. I didn't bother for a few days, and then I noticed that the auto on/off started working by itself. I have attached the retraining procedure for everyone. Remember to attach the vapor barrier (white plastic sheet) well, otherwise water will seep into the car. Sometimes the original caulk will remain pliable and tacky enough to be reused, but it's safest to buy 1/4-inch butyl rope and tape it on. You can find it in hardware stores.
