This mat is very convenient as I spend a lot of time in the kitchen at the sink. Whilst it washes well I am disappointed that after 4-5 days it takes on a greyish/dirty appearance although it really isn't stained with drips etc it holds up anything that's on the bottom. I walk in and out of the porch several times a day and I think I'm picking up "something," little bits of dirt seeping through the screen's grille and remaining on the white background. If you don't have my situation, then do it! Addendum: 12-06-20 I am adding this comment because last month I had to stop using the carpet because I was tired of throwing the washing machine a little longer every 5-6 days sometimes. Maybe a darker color would be a better choice. They have one behind. I would buy black if it was May. As far as it lasts for 6 months, about a wash a week and it still looks great! But definitely not for a busy kitchen.
