I find 1.75mm Octave ABS Filament to be high quality and products made from it have a luster and smooth finish. The only issues I've found with it, which I'll probably just have to get used to, is that the filament itself is a lot less flexible than other brands, and at least when used with a MakerBot printer you need to make sure that it goes off the rails. beautiful and straight. It has a natural kink because it's on a spool that tends to fight you until it goes up the guide tube, and because it's so stiff it wants to unwind a lot more than, say, the MakerBot-supplied filament. Buy or print some clips to keep it folded. Another issue is that this Octave manufacturer, like many other filament manufacturers, may have a different holder hole size than your printer. With a MakerBot printer, my holders are as large a diameter as any of the others, so I had to design and print the holders to fit the other two filament spool sizes. The octave hole size is 32 mm (1.26 inch). Overall I would say this thread is a lot cheaper than some of the others (especially the MakerBot brands) and is good value for money.
