Fiction! So happy with this purchase

This merino wool is amazing! I was very skeptical when I bought it because I had never worked with wool before. But now I'm so glad I did. I did some research and watched a few YouTube hand crochet videos (these are a few ways to do hand crochet) before finally deciding to follow Bella Kokos' hand crochet videos. I bought 11 pounds. of wool and made runners for my king-size bed. It is about 18-20 inches wide, overhanging each side or bed about 8-10 inches. and is about 3 inches. thick. That's a total of 50 chains in length. First I did 60 chains and it was too long, but it was very easy to pull out the chains and start over. All in all it took 3-3.5 hours. It's great, very soft, much more durable than I expected and much easier to work with than I imagined. However, I must warn you that if you detach him from the ball, he will eject. I stood at the foot of my bed and knitted, leaving a skein and loose yarn in the middle of the bed, and it took me a good 20 minutes. just to get all of my duvet after i finish the duvet. I recommend laying out a few towels and putting wool on them. I didn't spill anything after the runner was done. I love it and can't wait to order more.

Pros
  • This chunky yarn is perfect for extreme giant knitting as well as hand knitting. Weaving is a real pleasure, resulting in wonderfully soft products every time.
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
