I received this monitor with the box in perfect condition, connected everything and immediately noticed the difference in IPS. Make sure you're using a display port cable and change your monitor settings to 144Hz before doing anything else! I was blown away by the smoothness and speed of this 144Hz monitor and until you see it and try it for yourself you won't know what I'm talking about. To be honest I never noticed any screen tearing or ghosting on another monitor until I started using the VG279Q. While only the Xbox One x and PS4 Pro can only play games at 60Hz (FPS), input lag is extremely low, as confirmed by rtings.com, which has an insanely detailed review of this monitor. Some people will say the pixel density is too high, and for some it may be, but when I'm sitting and the game is far enough away I don't notice it. Response time isn't the advertised 1ms unless you use the ELMB setting, but at that point you lose FreeSync/G sync and can only run at 120Hz. But let me explain, don't confuse input lag with response time. Input lag is the time from the moment you aim and shoot your controller/mouse to the moment the monitor receives it, and this monitor is the fastest. Response time varies from gray to gray, which you can read about elsewhere, but here it's around 4ms, which you'll never notice unless you're a professional esports gamer. The bottom line is that you're getting a well-built monitor that's G-Sync compatible, has a 144Hz refresh rate, fast response time, INCREDIBLY low input lag, and comes with an IPS display that emphasizes colors and doesn't limit your viewing Angle. . I didn't notice the IPS glow on my panel and may not even know what to look for, but I'm so pleased with this purchase that I wanted to give a good review. If you're on the fence, try this, just try it. Revain has the best return policy, if you don't like it, you can get something else. I can't wait to get home and really spend a few hours at Apex!
