Trusted Manufacturer of Computers and Accessories

I have always been a fan and trust of Corsair storage products which is why I purchased this power supply in October 2011. A year later, this PS proved to be reliable. Having recently built another computer for a family member, I would very much like to learn more about the modular power supplies of the time. Too many cables for a moderate system and if you're a little cable management geek. (My system consists primarily of two SSDs, a DVD/RW, a 2.5" and a 3.5" hot-swap multifunction rack, a 5.25" touchscreen fan controller, a Corsair -Liquid CPU cooler and a fairly basic "silent" graphics card.) Not to mention there are too many ATA power connectors per day where SATA is pretty much the norm. I wouldn't call it "quiet" though. Because silence was one of my main goals for this build. Don't get me wrong, it's not loud by itself. But it's probably the loudest item running on my system. When the two Cooler Master fans that came with my Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower computer case are running at 100%, they are equally loud. I considered swapping out the fans to see if I could soften them up. If not, I could easily live with that, but there might be an upgrade for the quiet 80 Plus Platinum PS in my future. :)
