Review on Secure Your Holster: Galco JCTD Jackass Tie Down Set for Enhanced Safety by Brett Morrison

It works but I sent it back

I got it because I already have a Galco Jackass rig and because the price was pretty low compared to what others are offering. You will receive a box of 3 pieces; a strap connected to a magazine pouch containing a belt loop, a strip of snap heads connected to the holster, and a belt loop connected to a strip of snap heads. There are 4 different latches on the strip that connects to the holster, allowing you to adjust the height of the holster. When the holster is lower, the extra buttons just sit behind the belt loop where they won't snag or come loose. The magazine pouch has a plastic loop on the back that swings down so it can be attached to the belt loop. In use, the straps secure the magazine pouch and belt holster well enough that I can run, jump, or even roll on the ground without worrying about the holster whipping or bouncing all over the place. While the bars have good flexibility when you lean forward, you get a slight amount of resistance when twisting your torso left or right. If you stretch your arms up, your trousers will also be pulled up because the leather straps do not stretch. The reason I sent it back was because the bag was meant to sit just above the waist and because even on the longest setting the holster strap was too short to reach the strap from the side of the holster. While I can absolutely adjust the shoulder straps to give me some slack, I prefer the bag and holster to be higher on my gear because it's more comfortable for me. I wouldn't say it's a defect because everything is done well and it does what it's supposed to do, but I think they could have designed it better. If they made the case the same as the holster, with an adjustable length strap and a longer strap for the side of the holster, it could be used by taller people like me or anyone who prefers the holster to be taller.
