Review on Lavatools KT3 Stopwatch Function Quick Set by Roberta Gonia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I bought two more of these

Review update: After a year of use, my Lavatools KT3 is still my kitchen timer. A few things I experienced along the way: 1.) On rare occasions, after starting a timer, we found that it had mysteriously stopped. We couldn't reproduce the issue, but we suspect our cat is being naughty. 2.) We liked this timer so much that we bought two more and put three times three on the front of the fridge. The top two are for our double oven and the bottom one is for everything else. 3.) When we bought the first one, I noticed that a lot of people complained that the always-on digital display was wasting battery life unnecessarily - so the manufacturer changed the design so that the display stays off until you press any key. Now that we have both versions, I prefer the always-on version to the newer one that needs to be activated every time to use it. I know it sounds petty. Mostly just personal preferences. I maintain my five star rating on this product for use, purpose, functionality, price and durability.*************************** ***** *** ******** After careful research, including other reviews like ATK, I decided on this timer as my easy to set timer. The alarm clock is very loud and annoying - perfect when I'm working upstairs, but can be set to silent if needed. The only downside or wish-list item would be the ability to increment the timer counter from the point you last pressed STOP, rather than resetting it and starting over. Finally, the magnetic attachment point is not perfect. If you stick it to a vertical metal surface and start pressing buttons, it wants to tilt and slide. Annoying but I solved it with a small piece of double sided tape holding the device in place.
