You need to connect the wiring and use your old connector.
Red = Positive to Green/White = Positive then Green/Yellow = Ground to Green = Ground then Yellow = Fuel Gauge Signal to Black/Yellow = Fuel Gauge Signal. It's only three wires. what needs to be connected. both black wires are dummy wires that do literally nothing (look at the female connector half that's still on the helix. Only three wires). This is true for my 2007 Helix and I would assume the same is true for other 1986-2006 models as well. It wasn't a big deal to save $170 or so. while it works perfectly.
