I was surprised that you can use a microsd card up to 32GB. I scanned the color album cover and the result exceeded all my expectations. Great color and opacity for about 2/3 of the width. It works just as well on single scans of paper as you can glide over it smoothly. If you wiggle or anything goes wrong, the result will be affected, but it's still fully readable. When I scanned something with a backlight (my computer monitor) it looked black and white but was legible. I just experimented on different surfaces. If you're on someone else's computer and can't use your favorite screen recording app, at least you can record what's going on there. To set the time there is a small hole on the side you have. to paste something to put it in time setting mode. It was a bit difficult to find something that fit but didn't end up fully tapered. The hole was too deep for one of the pins I have. The markings on the side that indicate the scan width were very helpful. When scanning the pages of a book, you may need to scan from the inside of the page out rather than top to bottom, otherwise the scanner will not be able to read the characters on the inside edge. The scan window is closer to one edge than the other, so that helps. It takes a little practice and experimentation, but it's worth it. My computer runs 64-bit Win7 and I had no problems with it at all. I just plugged it into a USB port, it recognized it as a removable drive and was able to view and download the scans. I am blown away by the opportunities and the results I got. The price was great and I received it in perfect condition almost a week before the expected date.
