I'm giving it scores across the board because it does what it was intended to do. These are not high temp bulbs and you will not see any light emitted but you can trust me that they work. I checked it by hand and almost burned myself as a result. I checked because there just wasn't any light coming from it. I use this in my chicken coop and am very happy with them. Not so much heat as to cause a fire (unless you are careless and don't use a caged lamp body) and doesn't burn my birds. Just enough heat to keep the inside warm enough for them on really cold nights.
