I don't usually do product reviews but I felt this little scanner definitely deserved attention. I bought this mainly because I have a bunch of recipes I ripped from books or printed online and I was trying to find a way to organize them all into one PDF document so I could easily put them into my recipe -Computer program could import. This little scanner is great for just that. I can scan pages (many paper types are too slick and jam in my sheetfed scanner) and connect them to my computer. Voila! Here are my images which I can then put into a PDF document for myself using Adobe Acrobat. The scanner does NOT come with a micro SD card so make sure you get one. You DO NOT need to remove the micro SD card from the scanner; All you have to do is plug the scanner into a USB drive and it will be recognized by your computer as a removable disk. There are two DPI settings. I haven't figured out how to make it consistently 600 DPI instead of 300, but every time you turn it on it gets better scans when there's 600 DPI. Yes, it takes a bit more memory, but it's worth it. I wouldn't use it for photos because I have a good scanner for that. My main goal was to scan printed materials. It's also great to take to the college library to scan articles and the like without having to make (and pay for) copies or proofread books.
