I wanted it to be dust proof so I could use my Dewalt sander for long cuts in plaster walls. The problem is that standard vacuum hoses/connectors do not fit. This item requires at least the DWV9000 adapter and may require other adapters to use with a standard shop vacuum. Considering the price of this dust cover and all the required Dewalt adapters/hoses, I decided to return this item and instead purchase a cutting tool from another manufacturer (M**kee) that includes a dust cover that works with standard hose fittings. Dewalt is here to help customers by providing all the adapters needed to conveniently use this dust cover with different hose sizes.
