Perfect for our new bathroom barn door! it slides easily and doesn't protrude too much on one side, so it won't hit the wall, cause problems, or cause sticking when sliding between the wall and door. However the latch is more for looks than an actual lock as with our sliding door I can just pry the door open a bit and lift the latch to open it but I bought it for looks not security.
