Review on 🔧 Gates TCKWP307 Engine Timing Belt Kit incl. Water Pump by Scott Chen

The set is really cheap. I would prefer the water pump not to be made in China (as is) and the rest of the components to be made in Japan or US/Canada. The water pump comes with gaskets and the hydraulic belt tensioner compresses and locks with a grenade pin. There are good instructions in the box. The quality of the parts is good. or very good. Well done Gates! A worthy alternative to Subaru spare parts. Recommend. REVIEW REVISED BASED ON RESULTS Approximately 2/3 of the expected component life, the water pump failed. It wasn't a complete failure, but the pump pulley bearing started making a horrible noise. Cracks formed across the entire width of the timing belt on the underside of the belt tooth. Not installed well Aisin TKF-001 engine timing belt kit. All parts made in Japan. Obvious quality. Worth the price. What's the $40 difference if the timing belt snaps or the water pump dies? Answer yourself.
