Backlight with pages not useful
The flipbook raw materials seem to be acceptable quality, but the LED backlight is a big disappointment and mostly unusable as intended. There is no easy way to hold the pages in place against the backlight and the backlight isn't bright enough to bleed through a single page from behind. Visibility improves a little if you block off the extra light around the edges of the page, but you'd have to build your own mask or page holder to get it to work passably well. It's not really a complete kit.
- Comes with pre-drilled animation paper which saves time and effort
- Some users may prefer to create flipbooks on a larger scale, making this kit unsuitable
