Could solder tool steel to face
The face face surface is scratched when scraped with a fresh sharp cut but the base metal is fine. Good enough, just detach the edge before dragging. The staff is too shiny to see the graduation, but I'm still working with the metric, so I'll bring my own measuring tool.
