Review on CUT-50 DC Inverter Plasma Cutter: Dual Voltage Metal Cutting Machine, Compact Design - Display4top by Mark Gilbert

Powerful and inexpensive

Overall this is a very good cutter for the price, it cuts very cleanly and through materials that would be annoyingly slow and noisy with an angle grinder, I'm impressed. Small and light, this cutter is easy to transport even though I have it on my cart. i love this shop That's not to say there aren't any issues, just my preference and the reality of an inexpensive plasma cutter. The most frustrating issue is that there are no pre-drilled mounting points for the regulator/filter, meaning you have to either drill the housing yourself or fabricate a bracket that fits the existing holes. The regulator that came with it is cheaper than Harbor Freight and mine leaked right out of the box, do yourself a favor and just buy another one. The ground wire is on the world side, I expected a thicker section but that's enough. I would say about the same for the business end, it is thumb operated and has no cover over the button. I set the pressure to 60psi and the power to 21 and at 220 it cuts like a hot knife through butter despite all that crap, wow. While the bow holds best to bare metal, it hasn't had any paint or rusting issues most of the time. it is wonderful. The power cord is only about 6 feet long, too short in my opinion. It's perfect for the hobbyist, and since it comes with a 120 adapter, anyone, anywhere can probably use it.

Pros
  • ★ Wide range of applications: The compact plasma torch has a handle, the torch design offers a safe and comfortable grip. Easy to take. Suitable for a variety of applications including sheet metal fabrication, light industry, site work, automotive, air ducting. Work, repairs and maintenance. The cutting machine is not only used in companies and households, but also fully meets the requirements of professional users.
