Review on πŸ“± Rugged Tactical Black Heavy Duty CASE for Garmin GPSMAP 62 Series by Daniel Greene

I like it but a bit bulky

This is a good protection, highly recommend if you have experience with GPS which I had. They are fragile, sensitive and worthy of protection instruments. This product has a deep inset around the screen, which is good. The clasp is a bit awkward. You need to put the GPS between the two parts of the case and then fix it. There is a protrusion on the case that pushes into the GPS. You press the case in the right place and it turns on. But to turn it off again, you have to open the case. I'm not sure if I need a belt clip. I think it's better to just use this strap and tie it to your backpack or your body or any other item, but hey, I have a religion on the matter. In general, it's better than a slipcase. They don't fit and you can't see your screen. Update 05/29/14: After using it in hard work in the field, I found that the GPS can turn off inside the case. I think the tab pressed the power button when bending and pressing. And yet I'm not giving up.

Pros
  • GPS finder and accessories
Cons
  • Poor set
