Beautiful but complicated

I have mixed feelings about this iridescent yarn. This is PLA+, which was not in the product description. I made a temperature tower because I expected it to have a higher temperature than standard PLA. From this test I've come to the conclusion that 200-205 cents works best for my printer (70 cent bed). I've also found that it becomes brittle when I try to print at higher temperatures. I also turned the cooking fan off to 80% just in case it was trying to cool down too quickly (adding brittleness). The prints come out beautifully. As I said, the color change is very gradual, so unless you're printing something big, you'll end up with different colored objects instead of a rainbow effect. There is no liability for smaller items. I need to use rafts or fields where other threads won't fit. Another issue is that my filament runout sensor doesn't always detect this filament, resulting in many false readings. I can switch to a different incandescent sand, it works great. Upon examining the filament sensor, it appears that this filament can have several thinner sections that cause it to slide down the side of the sensor. Other threads probably have better consistency and don't have this problem. I like the results, but they require a lot more maintenance than other threads.
