Review on Kwikset 92001 519 Mobile Closet Polished by Jeff Labore

I used this handle set to replace a set of latch handles in my garage that had frozen and had to pry open. I don't know why I need a lock in the garage so I just bought this basic pass kit. It looks great, love the smooth movement when you turn the knob and when everything is aligned well it closes and closes easily. snaps in no problem. Much of the installation was a lot easier for me because I was replacing an old set - all the holes were already in place and ready to use. The challenge was that it was extremely difficult to line up the holes on either side to insert the screws that hold everything together. The instructions say to hold the handle slightly away from the door so you can see how the holes line up, but on my door, which is about 1.25 inches thick, this was nearly impossible. After 25 minutes of trial and error I finally got it together. I also hate that the holes are too close to the handle itself making it impossible to stick a screwdriver right in, but I see this with almost every installed handle. ever installed, so it's hard to put anything down for it. You'd think that after all these years, they might make installation easier.
