*UPDATE* Further research has shown these heaters are NOT specifically designed for reptiles and amphibians. It does the same job: heats up like a heating pad, but doesn't stick to the glass. It is very important that pet owners understand this. This heating pad is actually used to heat the soil when growing plants. People place these heaters under planters to keep the soil at the right temperature for seed growth. Just buy a Zoo Med Pad. This is a much better product that will last for several months. If the adhesion comes off (and as with all adhesion formulas it will), use tape to tape the gasket to the glass or buy a new one. There is no pad that sticks forever. Such a product does not yet exist. Glue "3M" - bullshit. I attached it directly to the bottom of my display case. My animal was examined the next morning and expected to be warm but was very cold. I checked the heating pad under his closet, it was completely removed and lying flat on the top of the closet. This product is rubbish, use a Zoo Med pad instead.
