I bought this to upgrade my car and it connects to a device with combo HDMI and USB ports replacing the 12v accessory port. Very slow for a 5V/3A power supply. Only My smartphone connects to this port. It's hard to tell if the problem is with the 12/5V converter or the cables without spending more money and/or time testing. But it provides enough power for the phone whether I'm streaming on Pioneer radio or not. All in all it's an okay product, but I'll probably replace it with a converter that can charge/charge an iPhone as well.
