I really like the idea of this product and got a lot of compliments. The vast majority of people have no idea that this is a storage tank and not a canister. I decided to make my own bracket/holder and mount it where the spare tire would normally be on my '93 Jeep Wrangler. While it's not waterproof, I haven't had any issues with rainwater seeping through the jar's contents (I keep my survival gear and cordless percussion pistol in it). I would give it 5 stars but the glass will fade and turn pink after about 9 months. to years due to sunlight. At this point, I simply sanded it down to smooth it, cleaned it with acetone, and repainted it with wheel polish and rattle-can clear coat. Looks amazing again. If you plan to install it in the sun, do yourself a favor and cover it before installing. I would also recommend using graphite lock grease or silicone grease spray on the locking mechanism to keep the lock working smoothly.
