Nice Peloton replacement, BUT...

Are you a Peloton rider and having trouble locking and removing your bike pedals? The problem isn't the shoes or the pedals, it's the spikes. Will there be a problem replacing peloton spikes with these foxes? Yes, but not perfect without a little modification. When properly fitted, the Peloton cleats are too tight on the shoe. The Peloton CS asks you to relax the pedal tension, but if you use other shoes or spikes you'll find that they lock in just fine. Even after releasing the tension, the Peloton cleats are still too close to the shoe, so you may be tempted to loosen the cleats. Unfortunately, this means that while it's easier for you to zip up, it's now very difficult to unzip without twisting your ankle in an awkward position. And once unbuckled, your cleat may now be at a skewed angle, meaning you'll have to pedal with numb fingers and adjust the cleats after every ride. No fun. When you attach these cleats to Peloton shoes, you'll notice something new. A nice loud audible click that you've successfully engaged your pedals. Much better than the hit that may or may not occur in the middle of a ride with the original spikes. But there was a problem releasing the spike from the pedal. These spikes come with Phillips head screws and if you install them with a regular screwdriver you probably won't install them as tightly as needed. You end up with the same problem as Peloton cleats that come loose when you take them off the pedalsโ€”crooked cleats, clubfoot riding, constant adjustment. Solution: Use these new spikes but connect them with hex head screws. by Peloton spikes. You get the leverage you need to keep them taut and prevent them from tipping sideways when you come off the pedals, and you also get a well-made cleat that slides easily into the pedal. The problem is solved. Enjoy a [less frustrating] ride!
