Use these to install my front lip on a Subaru WRX. I wanted something solid that wouldn't come loose but also protect the edge without splitting the drilled area at the end and it will hold. As for corrosion, you may need to apply a coating if you don't want the nuts and bolts to corrode. especially if you live in a place that uses a lot of road salt in winter. After about a couple of months they definitely started to rust and eventually had to replace the screw. It hurt but now I know how long they will last. Of course, the aluminum pane didn't cause any problems. It should probably last a while if you're in a sunny state or don't see a lot of rain all the time.
