This crate is perfect for the purpose I bought it for. It will be on the rear bumper of my van. However, you should seriously consider 3/8" or 1/4" sheet aluminum or steel for the main bracket on which the bow will be mounted. U-bolts will quickly tear the thinner diamond plate. Set the mounting plate to the same size as the bottom of the box.
