mild rubbing on motor housing with my older F43 trolling motor
After installation there was rubbing on the motor housing. It may have resolved itself but i made a small modification. The area of rubbing was marked on the prop hub when I removed it. I took a Dremel with a 1/8th inch bit to remove about 1/16th of an inch of material off the "spokes" inside the hub (see image). This was sufficient to allow the prop to rotate freely. Super easy modification.I believe this will be better in the weeds than my 3 blade prop, but I haven't gotten the boat out yet. I doubt I'll notice any improvement in battery life as I never fully deplete my battery.
