I work in a car service and have almost every imaginable type of ratchet. Bring Snap On, Mac and Matco to me and this ratchet will bring you joy. i love this shop The way it feels is using the mechanism itself as a thumb wheel, folding lever, simple but effective design and easy maintenance. all Wright instruments. In case you didn't know, the military asked Wright to recreate this classic design because the ratchets they used in the desert became clogged and jammed with sand. They handle dirt very well and, being an open gear, are obviously easy to clean and maintain. They are also extremely tough. Besides the military, Wright makes tools for other industries like railroads, where they have a 42" long 3/4" "railway ratchet" that can handle incredible torque. An excellent American company that I am proud to have in my personal instrument collection.
