One of those things everyone should know is how to replace yourself

I installed this on my 2005 Mazda 3 with a 2.3 liter engine. This is a 5 minute job. My old filter was terribly dirty and someone had pieces of black foam clogging entire sections of the filter. I still don't know where the foam came from (from the road or some other invisible part of my car). This is one of those items that the dealer will charge you $45 to replace but will only cost you $11. Save the difference and use it for gas.
