Good solid design for a standard size tire. The rim is attached to the holder with two large threaded bolts that go through square holes to prevent twisting when installing and removing the spare wheel. Round lock washers hold them in the square mounting holes. I replaced the carriage bolts with studs that match the conical nuts to keep the mounting holes from being damaged over time and impact. This means you must hold on to the bolts to prevent twisting when the spare tire is removed. This is not necessary for wheels with cylindrical nuts. I also recommend replacing door latches with rustproof hardware and sealing all contact surfaces to protect against the elements and rust.
