Review on Whiteside Surfacing Router Shank Cutting Tools for Spoilboard by Mark Gilbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You get what you pay for. Qualitative!

The bat arrived quickly and in good condition. All edges of the bit were razor sharp and had plenty of protective wax/gum on them. I bought this router solely for leveling panels and sanding fascia boards with a router carriage. As this was the first one I've ever tried I have no comparison but as with all of my Whiteside Picks I'm very happy with its performance. My router is a DeWalt DW-618 (2 1/4 HP) and handled the hardfacing of the flash drive with no problems. By making passes and removing approximately 3/4" to a depth of approximately 1/8" per pass, this nozzle left a hardwood cutting board surface with a perfectly flat and fairly smooth finish, with no lines and minimal sanding. Whiteside beats have always thrived. They're not cheap, but they're not cheap either. You get what you pay for: a quality product. I definitely recommend this product.
