Well made, accommodates two adult cats. Not sure I would let them do it but it is very safe and great for my three cats. It provides shade and the mesh inserts let air through. I feel my cats are safe in this enclosure. You can see birds and have a rest and be outside without running away. What I was looking for was a safe cat enclosure and it was very difficult to find. I stumbled across this item by accident and am absolutely amazed by its performance. First I put my cats in, then I close them and then gently slide them onto the deck. If you want your pet to lie on the ground outside, it's probably best to load the cat up and take it out. I still don't leave them alone on the floor as we have roaming dogs and I don't think the dogs won't attack the cats. I think it's superior to anything I've seen. It looks like it can be washed - it's made of a nylon-like material. It's about 4 feet long and my cats, who are all quite large, can sit in it without looking flat. Great article so far!
