I bought this system a few years ago. I wasn't good at keeping my tools sharp and/or learning how to properly sharpen them. I bought several diamond sharpeners but ended up going with CBN wheels with a grinding system - something I should have done a long time ago! This system comes with a DVD showing the basics of using the system. I've watched it several times as I'm weak to improve my knowledge. This worked great for me and you can easily follow the instructions for consistency. I use carbide burs to avoid sharpening problems. They still have their place, but now I can use other types of tools. Boring tools are neither effective nor interesting. With this Pro Grand system, there are no more excuses for not keeping your instruments sharp. Once you learn the system, you'll be amazed at how easy and quick it is. Again, the DVD is a great learning aid.
