I'm quite handy I think. So any mention of the stand being overtightened seemed like an easy fix as this set was more affordable and complete than some of the others. I'm glad to see that they are currently releasing more details and added a page to resolve this issue and I didn't have to mess with it. It was easy to install and use, and it turned out great!

I've been a carpenter for 25 years now, I'm pretty good with tools. . My bowl has never been so sharp. The platform method which should be pretty easy doesn't work at all, I could never get the platform to stay in place. Even when I tightened the handle very hard, the slightest pressure on the platform moved.

This system is pretty good for the money, so far I've been able to sharpen all my tools. and the square tube that makes up the adjustable rod is very thin. When the cam was first locked, a dent remained on the bar. So be careful not to overtighten when adjusting. Then loosen the set screws holding the cam lock to the latch arms for the first two uses.
