My Oil Stove is Incompatible with Smart Thermostats; It only had two wires going to the mechanical thermostat. With this relay I was able to add a 24VAC transformer and this relay to my oil stove to connect a Honeywell T9 WiFi thermostat. You should be able to use this for any smart thermostat (like Nest or Ecobee) that requires a 24VC wire. This has worked extremely well so far. While there are many videos on YouTube describing how to wire, be aware that you will be working with both 120V and 24V power and you should consider hiring a professional if Don't know how to do it safely.
