Review on ACDelco GT294 Yellow Fuel Tank Cap for GM Original Equipment: A Reliable Solution by Jason Wilson

I ordered this replacement gas cap for my 2012 Impala. After 11 months and 6500 miles the check engine light came on. I bought a new cap from O'Reillys which immediately turned off the check engine light, but the cap is the original cap, not the yellow (E85) cap and has no plastic cap loss wire. After inspecting the cover of the AC Delco GT294, I noticed that the gaskets were deformed back into the cover and did not form an airtight seal. Upon purchase it was stated that ACDelco offer a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty on this cap and is awaiting a response from the YourKeylessRemoth seller when warranty is met and a new replacement cap. Also the cap was purchased as ACDelco, there is no ACDelco identifier on the cap, imprint on the cap 1872, GERDES, made in Germany. Disappointed
