Review on 🧱 Almond Mapei Keracaulk – Sanded Caulking by Chris Moody

We used this on our new tub for two weeks and then noticed water pooling behind the seal. The material tears easily and then opens pores that absorb water. It was a real mess and definitely not something we would recommend in wet areas. It took me an hour to remove all the putty and now I'm going to replace it with something more permanent and waterproof. I should also note that this gasket is not flexible. Any movement of a filled tub, or someone stepping into the tub, can expand the ring around the tub and cause that awful seal to rupture. I would also like to note that the color is much lighter than in the picture.
