According to the product description, it is due to the different granulation of the pads. I ordered 2 sets to get them all (twice) to complete my project. I revived 120 pads of one grit instead of the different, different grit described. I wouldn't order 2 sets if I thought it was all a one grain order. I wanted 2 sets of all the grit described, not 1 grit per 120 pads. I need a different grain gradient to complete my project. Still, the graininess of the grind crumb is useless to me! I figured I'd order 20 pads (10 pads each, twice each, of each of the progressive grains. Not 120 pads of the regular 1200 grains.
