If you are doing production/roughing passes, this is a very good option. I run mine on a Shapeoko 3 XXL, typically around 100 ipm at 1/4" DOC in pine plywood at full rpm on a Dewalt 611. PROS: Quiet, no rattle until you go over the 12mm tooth they give you .Clean cuts .shapeoko 3, the bit stops the motor before the bit breaks so you don't have to keep changing bits CONS: when going through 1/2" thick stuff (I cut 3/4" regularly) , there is a ball of powder left over. Last pass won't mount the Suckit dust cover. In short, this drill bit is a personal favorite for high speed cutting or mass producing blanks for art projects. In about 25 hours of work I ended up with 1 bit , which became unusable. On my current setup, they cut faster and more reliably than any 1/4" bit without worrying about them sticking or breaking. If you're cutting relatively thin materials, go for it this.
